Satsang – Mantra – Potluck
Join us every 3rd Friday of the month in these connecting evenings where we come together to share, sing and find silence.
The word Satsang originates from Sanskrit, where Sat means truth and Sanga community. Satsang means “to be together in truth”. When something expands your perception of Truth, it opens your heart and calms your mind. Satsang is not just attending a spiritual conversation, Satsang is the encounter with the pure and then the realization that you are.
Mantra singing, like meditating, is meant to focus your attention and to be in the moment. Mantras open the door to a higher consciousness. It is a type of meditation, even listening to mantras has that effect.
A potluck is a shared meal in which each guest brings (vegetarian!) food (often home-made) and shares it with all the other guests. With minimal costs you still have a very varied meal, in which the “luck” element plays a role. The idea is that everyone brings just a little more than you can eat yourself.
